From the Designer:
"This eye-catching design features the beautiful Eastern Red Tailed Black Cockatoo in a classic resting pose, his head nestled in his glossy chest feathers.
The background pattern represents sprigs, seed pods and seeds from the Casuarina tree. These seeds are the favourite food of the red-tailed black cockatoo.
The sarong is made of a 100% natural fabric blend combining silk and cotton, for a light weight, cool and soft cover up for the beach or pool. The black, red and white theme is a classic and the design is very stylish.
I might even be tempted wear this stylish sarong to a summer party!"
Maryann Hine
The South-eastern Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo is listed as 'Endangered' under the Commonwealth Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and is also listed threatened in South Australia and Victoria.
